Alan has offered first class service. Nothing was too much trouble. He kindly returned to the cemetery within 24 hours of learning about my husband's headstone being laid casually on the ground by some 'inspector'. Alan was the first to reply to my blanket email to a few recommended stonemasons. He put me at ease even via email and made, what had already been a complicated time, seem easily attainable. He was patient with the changes the children kept making and prompted me when I needed to action something. The stone was beautiful and installed remarkably fast. I cannot recommend Alan enough. He did a really beautiful job with my Dad's gravestone inscription where he removed an existing inscription on my grandparent’s gravestone and replaced it with Dad's new memorial seamlessly. He also cleaned up the rather neglected looking grave so it looked brand new for the interment. Most importantly he talked me through the whole process in a really sensitive and thoughtful manner and was really supportive and respectful on the day.

Alan is a true professional with a genuinely personal touch. He has been so great, both in terms of his kindness and sympathy and also in terms of the quality of his work. I would highly recommend him. Alan has been very understanding with going back and forth with the proof of my Father's slate due to a large family and lots of opinions! I wish I could find the words to adequately thank you for the fantastic work you did to complete the inscription on my parents headstone.
My father had the headstone made shortly after my mother's death. That was twenty years ago and what was required now was to add his date of death matching the numbers and paint colour to the originals. I was fully aware that this was not going to be an easy task as every stone mason has their own unique style but neither I nor any of my family could find any difference between the originals and the new numbers you had inserted.
We were all very impressed and I thank you on behalf of my family for your incredible work and craftsmanship. You are a true artist and should we need a stonemason in the future we will not hesitate to contact you.

My parents grave and headstone has been renovated - cleaned and the lettering re-done and I am very pleased with the result. I had realised the stonework was looking badly weathered and worn and so I approached Alan of Prince Stonemason's. I was looking for a new hearth as we were reopening a bricked up fireplace in our lounge, and specifically wanted riven slate for a rustic appearance to suit the age and character of the property.
I made a few enquiries, with most companies suggesting alternative materials rather than being really helpful, until I contacted Prince Stonemasons. Alan Prince was professional from the start, tracking down exactly the type of stone we were looking for, before coming over to do the final measure, cut and installation himself.

Having previously used Prince Stone for cleaning a memorial, I approached Alan for a house number on our new house. He gave a variety of suggestions on stone type and lettering, before we decided on slate with gold painted numbers.
I only wish I had got Alan to fit the sign, rather than leaving it to the unskilled builders who chipped the stone slightly around the screw holes.
Very happy with our house number sign. Would highly recommend Prince Stone.
