Testimonials

Thank you so much for the beautiful memorial for my mum and dad. Alan did a wonderful job. Princestones were very contactactable, responsive, kind and helpful keeping us informed of progress every step of the way. I can't recommend them enough.

From the moment we met Alan Prince, by chance at Fleet cemetery, we knew he was the person to assist with creating a fitting memorial for our late mother. Alan clearly explained what was involved, offered ideas and suggestions, which greatly helped to choose and meet our wishes. From ordering the tablet, inscribing the stone, preparing the grave, to assisting with the ashes interment, Alan was incredibly helpful and reassuring, his craftsmanship and professionalism exceeding expectations.

Our family used Alan's services to make our mother's grave safe, repositioning it before thoroughly cleaning it. He also then gave helpful advice before restoring our grandparents' grave. We were very impressed with the care and quality of his work, particularly given the age and condition of the second grave (1957).

Following my mum's passing, I needed an additional inscription on an existing headstone. I dealt with Alan, who handled all of my requirements with the utmost care, empathy, and professionalism during a very difficult time. Their pricing is really competitive, and Alan kept in regular contact with me to share progress updates. He even sent photos once the craftsmanship was completed, which was greatly appreciated.

Fantastic service from the team at Princestones! We're extremely pleased with my father's headstone. We asked for a bespoke design and the final result was beyond what we had imagined. The whole process was smooth and everything was completed quicker than we expected, from production to installation.

I first used Princestones in 2018 to clean our village war memorial which had fallen into a poor state. Alan did a brilliant job in restoring it to its proper appearance. Each year since then we have engaged Princestones to give the memorial a maintenance clean which keeps it looking as it should.

I was fortunate enough to meet Alan at my father's grave when I was very upset at how much the gilding had deteriorated. He was compassionate and understanding and explained what he could do. Within two days the headstone was restored to its former glory and now a fitting tribute to my wonderful Dad.

He has been endlessly patient while I dithered over designs, and so helpful, guiding me through the trickier areas in planning memorials stones for both of my parents in Aldershot Military Cemetery. Delighted with the finished plaques and feel so happy knowing that at last my parents have the stones they would wish for.

Alan from Prince Stones was so supportive from start to finish. He walked us through the whole process of interment and created a beautiful memorial tablet for my late father. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Alan to others.

Alan Prince fully restored a family gravestone and associated kerbs, handling the entire process from gaining the permission of the Church authorities to reinstating the stone. The quality of the work is first class and I can recommend his services without hesitation.

Great people, good communication, easy to liaise with and considerate. We received a lovely gravestone installed with no hassle and looks fabulous. We also asked for a carving of a gerbera flower as an extra, and quality of this is lovely.

I have used Prince Stonemasons for several house signs, and could not be happier with the quality of the signs and the service I received. Alan is very helpful with designs and suggesting suitable stone choices.

Alan gave an outstanding service from start to finish. He's knowledgeable and skilled and offered good advice when my brother and I were mulling ideas over. Our parents have a beautiful and enduring memorial which is a great comfort to us both. Thank you Alan, we really appreciate your personable approach and professional service.

Princestones Ltd were highly recommended to us by another family member. Nothing was too much trouble and Alan and Michelle were kind and patient throughout the whole process. We now have a lovely memorial for our Mum and have found the company that we plan to use for all our future memorial requirements.

Alan has offered first class service. Nothing was too much trouble. He kindly returned to the cemetery within 24 hours of learning about my husband's headstone being laid casually on the ground by some 'inspector'. He so thoughtfully replaced the stone underneath and left the gravestone upright. Beautifully engraved too. Thank you so much Alan

Alan is a really helpful and honest chap. The stone tablet for my father's internment is very well executed and clearly a lot of time and effort went into making it. Would highly recommend.

Alan was the first to reply to my blanket email to a few recommended stonemasons. He put me at ease even via email and made, what had already been a complicated time, seem easily attainable. He was patient with the changes the children kept making and prompted me when I needed to action something. The stone was beautiful and installed remarkably fast. From beginning to end it was the least stressful aspect of my husband's death. Thank you

Excellent, efficient service & communication. Alan sent before & after photos. What a difference! Very prompt to carry out the work to clean & regild the lettering on our parents' headstone. Beautiful work. Headstone looks new again. If you are looking for a stonemason, I can thoroughly recommend Alan & his craftsmanship.

5* service from the outset. I was recommended to come to Alan by a funeral director and so glad i was! Alan is a pleasure to deal with and his work and fair pricing makes him stand above the rest. Thank you so much for your personal touch!

I cannot recommend Alan enough. He did a really beautiful job with my Dad's gravestone inscription where he removed an existing inscription on my grandparent's gravestone and replaced it with Dad's new memorial seamlessly. He also cleaned up the rather neglected looking grave so it looked brand new for the interment. Most importantly he talked me through the whole process in a really sensitive and thoughtful manner and was really supportive and respectful on the day.

Alan is a true professional with a genuinely personal touch. He has been so great, both in terms of his kindness and sympathy and also in terms of the quality of his work. I would highly recommend him. Alan has been very understanding with going back and forth with the proof of my Father's slate due to a large family and lots of opinions! He has worked to tight timescales and gone above and beyond. On the day of my Father's ashes' internment he was early, he was respectful and he had thought of everything. You literally could not ask for more. The end product is exactly what we wanted, a Welsh slate with a Welsh dragon and a tribute to my Dad. The craftsmanship was second to none. Alan is a true professional and a credit to Fleet and surrounding areas. Thank you Alan, for making a difficult situation so seamless. Your dedication, kindness and workmanship is massively appreciated.

I wish I could find the words to adequately thank you for the fantastic work you did to complete the inscription on my parents headstone. My father had the headstone made shortly after my mother's death. That was twenty years ago and what was required now was to add his date of death matching the numbers and paint colour to the originals. I was fully aware that this was not going to be an easy task as every stone mason has their own unique style but neither I nor any of my family could find any difference between the originals and the new numbers you had inserted. We were all very impressed and I thank you on behalf of my family for your incredible work and craftsmanship. You are a true artist and should we need a stonemason in the future we will not hesitate to contact you.

I was introduced to Alan Prince at Princestones to supply and fit a memorial stone and full kerb set in memory of my late son. I found Alan to be kind, helpful and understanding in every respect. All of his work is to a very high standard. Myself and my ex wife are delighted with the stone and how perfect and precisely all the work was carried out. I highly recommend Princestones for an excellent job at a very reasonable price.

My parents grave and headstone has been renovated - cleaned and the lettering re-done and I am very pleased with the result. I had realised the stonework was looking badly weathered and worn and so I approached Alan of Prince Stonemason's. He advised me and undertook the work promptly and I felt the price of the work was very reasonable. I would recommend Prince Stonemason's.

I was looking for a new hearth as we were reopening a bricked up fireplace in our lounge, and specifically wanted riven slate for a rustic appearance to suit the age and character of the property. I made a few enquiries, with most companies suggesting alternative materials rather than being really helpful, until I contacted Prince Stonemasons. Alan Prince was professional from the start, tracking down exactly the type of stone we were looking for, before coming over to do the final measure, cut and installation himself. The result is exactly what we had hoped for and it looks like it'd always been here - a professional craftsman service at very reasonable rates. Thank you.

Having previously used Prince Stone for cleaning a memorial, I approached Alan for a house number on our new house. He gave a variety of suggestions on stone type and lettering, before we decided on slate with gold painted numbers. Very happy with our house number sign. Would highly recommend Prince Stone.

I am very pleased with my great grandfathers grave, looks like new, very professional, very high standard of work, highly recommended. Very friendly, and we received excellent advice too.

The quality of product is only surpassed by the quality of service we received! Old school craftsmanship with a traditional approach to customer care.
